GOD IS GOOD!!

2020 began 9 days ago, and just within these 9 short days I have already been to 3 states I had never been to before! It’s actually my first time ever leaving the south! One thing that kept coming to mind during this 3 day long drive from Georgia to Arizona is that there is SO much world out there to be seen! My whole life I have been filled with intense wanderlust, and now that I’m finally being bombarded by all this new awestriking scenery, it’s more extreme than ever! I feel like being surrounded by all these completely unfamiliar sights makes me way more prone to venture out of my comfort zone than if I were in my home state surrounded by the same sights! Don’t get me wrong, I know I can still do wonderful things and be filled with a fiery passion to go out of my comfort zone even when I’m in familiar places, but it is insane the kind of feelings you begin to be filled with when you’re seeing fresh sights you’ve only seen in movies or in pictures! As we drove hundreds of miles through Route 66 I never even once got tired of the overwhelming beauty spreading far and wide outside of the car window! It felt like every 20 minutes the scenery would drastically change, resulting in insanely HIGH spirits and overall just one of the best moods I could possibly be in! It felt like God was speaking to me through His creations surrounding me! In those couple of days I really began to see more than ever just how much God reveals Himself in what He has created! God wants us to be constantly living in wander, because when we’re living that way it seems to always tune our hearts to be more open and willing to see God in everything, big or small! We serve a God who has literally ZERO limitations in what He can do, and because of that He has made for us billions and billions of little reminders to show us just how good He is! The only thing about them is that we HAVE to be willing to see them! We must make it our daily goal to focus on God’s abundant blessings! Once we learn to marvel in everything God has done for us, our blessings seem to multiply in uncontrollable numbers! But the question to ask yourself is whether these blessings are only just now appearing, or if it’s that they’ve been in your life and you’ve been too busy focussing on the negatives to dwell fully on these beautiful positives. we must put ourselves out there in life and do completely outrageous things, travel to crazy awesome new places, talk to strangers when it might seem awkward, and most importantly we MUST begin to dwell fully on the countless blessings God places in our lives! God did not place us into this world for us to worry about temporary stresses. God did not place us into this world for us to live a life so filled with fear and anxiety that we decide to put a lock on our emotions and feelings and not let anybody come close enough to us to truly know us because we might disappoint them or display to them that we aren’t as put together as we try to come off as. God did not put us into this world for us to live a life of misery. GOD IS A JUST AND GOOD GOD!! God made us to do great things! He single handedly created YOU! Each and every one of God’s children are loved by God, and it is His desire for you to life a prosperous life! God has a special plan for all of His children, and we all have the capability to do great things through God and for the Kingdom of God! Through God we can truly flourish in this life, and through Him we can spread mass tons of love and peace throughout the whole world, God Himself is love and peace, joy and kindness, just and righteous, the beginning and the end! GOD IS LOVE!!!! It should be our one and only goal to serve God and to serve those He calls for us to serve! Let’s begin this year with a burning passion to serve and to love God in the ways He calls us each and individually to love and serve!!

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”  2 Corinthians 4:6

With love, Clayton
