Rejoicing with thanksgiving!!

HEY!! I hope you’re having an AMAZING day! I just wanted to post this to express my gratitude to all of you who have supported me with squad leading for the World Race! Whether through prayer, friendship, donation, encouragement, etc., I’m so seriously grateful for you!

Since getting home from squad leading I’ve felt it strongly on my heart to share a little about what squad leading was like, as well as to attempt to express my gratitude to the Lord and to all the people the Lord has used to bless and support me!

The past 9 months were some of the most life-changing and all-around amazing months of my life. I’ve never been in a place of leadership within the Church until last September, and honestly, I think it was the scariest thing I’d ever walked into. I went in terrified that I didn’t have what it takes and that I would just be failing and doing the wrong things all the time. There was a lot of fear in my heart when I walked into it, but God did SO much regardless of how I felt. From start to finish the Lord showed me what it looks like to depend on abiding in Him. John 15 was quickly the Scripture I sprinted to every day. I learned very early on that there’s no way to lead or to live except out of a space of abiding in Christ. In this I learned to be confident in the leadership I was being asked to walk into, as well as teach me that when I fall short I can take ownership of my shortcomings, confess to the Lord, learn from my mistakes, and receive God’s mercy to try again. I learned to walk in reverent caution, while not being too afraid to fail and need to depend deeper on God’s grace. Sounds funny when I write it out, but I think this is the first time in my life where I got to learn how to fail and still walk in victory and God’s abundant grace, instead of failing and walking into cycles of shame and defeat and negative self-talk. There’s a million other lessons I learned and could share, but this one is just too good to not share!!

Okay now I want to talk a little about my squad!

H squad will forever hold the most special place in my heart! In learning to lead, I also got to learn how to be loved by those I lead. Something that was said a lot was that H squad is a squad of hospitality. And boy oh boy is that true! Since day one I saw the heart of God being displayed through H squads ability to welcome in and create deep relationships with any and everyone. I’ve been blessed to see this squad go far out of their way to make sure everyone around them is genuinely seen, loved, and provided/cared for! They bring an inviting peaceful loving comfort with them everywhere they go! It seems like every day they look more and more like Jesus. They look like Him because they seek Him fervently! And WOW are

they finding what they’re seeking. “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13. “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18. Yeah. That’s H squad. I can’t think of any way to describe them except that they’re a squad dedicated to love and seeking the Lord’s heart in all things!!

AHHH I LOVE THEM!!!!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

The things I got to learn, the people I got to lead, the people I got to meet, the places I got to see, the memories I got to make, and the challenges I got to face were all made possible because of the generosity of those who prayerfully and financially helped me get there. To God belongs all the credit and glory and thanksgiving, and through thanking God I get to thank all of you too! He used you to bless and provide for me! He used you, a part of His body, to bless me, another part of His body! So seriously, thank you for supporting me as I attempt to follow and obey God! Thank you for praying! Thank you for donating! And thank you for your faithful love! The Lord has used many of you to answer my prayers and supplications!

Okay okay okay, I want to finish this off by sharing some fun pics! So here they are:
