What I’ll be doing on the trip!!

I hope this finds you in a happy place! As you may already know, I will be going on a 9-month mission trip from September 2020 through May 2021 with an organization called The World Race! I’ll be starting the trip off with 3 months in Romania where my team and I will be working alongside Hope Church to hand out eyeglasses and Bibles written in their local language, reach out to the surrounding at-risk communities by sharing the Word and the Love of Jesus, and also just helping the town out wherever they need it the most! My prayers are that we’ll be able to help out as many people in as many ways as possible!

 

After those 3 months, I’ll be traveling to India where we’ll be working with Bibles for the World to help reach out and spread the gospel to unreached communities in Manipur! We will be ministering to affiliated schools there to hand out Bibles and to spread the Love of God to the young children through tutoring them in their academics, and also helping to minister to them in their day-to-day life! Most people in this community don’t have any Christian influences in their lives, but it is our goal to be there for them and help them to build a relationship with Christ! “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” Matthew 28:19. We will also be helping out with the Indian churches and national Christian leaders nearby to help erect new churches in places where people have never been able to attend church before! Christianity is growing more popular in India, and it is my goal to help continue its growth!

 

For the last 3 months we will be headed to San Jose, Costa Rica! There we will serve with a variety of ministry partners who are showing the intense Love of God all over the city! We will be doing all sorts of stuff while we’re there! We’ll be teaching English at the local schools, doing manual labor service projects in the slums devastated by gang violence and poverty, share God’s Word with the locals, host sports ministry days for the kids whose lives are so negatively impacted by their community everyday that they hardly ever get to have much childish fun in their lives at all, and many many more exciting and influential things!!

 

We oftentimes get used to our comfortable standard of living and forget that the vast majority of the people in the world have such basic needs still unmet. My goal for this mission trip is to impact as many of these people in need as possible, helping them with even their most basic needs, so that they might be able to live a more productive, healthy, happy, safe, and Godly lifestyle! My hope is that the Spirit of the Lord will move in me in ways that helps to improve the quality of life of everyone I encounter on this life changing journey, while also sharing the Glory of God everywhere I go!!

 

The World Race has been a long-time dream for me, but I definitely cannot do this on my own. To truly be able to follow where I feel the Lord is taking me, I need to raise support. And the greatest support I could ever receive is that of prayer! If you would please consider walking alongside me through this next season in prayer that my team and I would have open hearts and open minds and be willing to step out of our comfort zone to bring light to some of the darkest parts of the world, that would mean SO much!!!!

In addition to prayer support, I will also be needing financial support for this trip! I will need to have $16,000 raised by January 2021, which will cover the cost of all transportation, food, housing, insurance, supplies for the people we’re ministering to (Bibles, eyeglasses, food, clothes, etc.) and other miscellaneous costs as well! I personally will be working to raise as much money as I can, but as a senior in highschool I don’t have the means of providing it all myself. But I know that God will provide no matter what! Therefore, I also would like to request that you be in prayer about possibly helping financially support me on this trip! Any amount is genuinely helpful!
